Initiating the Conversation on Medical Myths and Misinformation
This 90-minute Zoom workshop by the Duke Program on Medical Misinformation will support healthcare professionals seeking to conduct psychologically safe conversations with patients about medical misinformation. Participants will consider the latest social science perspectives on patient engagement with misinformation and learn techniques for talking with patients about inaccurate information they encounter.
Workshop Objectives
By attending this workshop, participants will be able to recognize patient constraints in navigating health information and identifying misinformation; and describe guiding principles for initiating conversations on medical misinformation with their patients.
